We’re looking for a Sales Manager who can sell — and lead. You’ll work directly with public sector decision-makers, shape our outbound strategy, and mentor a team of SDRs while earning significant recurring revenue on the business you close.

You’re comfortable being fully remote, fully accountable, and fully commission-based — because you know what you’re worth.

  • Competitive, persistent, and self-motivated

  • Able to manage a remote team of 4–8 SDRs and coach them to qualify leads that close

  • Comfortable managing $10K–$100K+ deal sizes and nurturing multi-stage opportunities

  • Organized and able to juggle multiple active deals without losing the thread

  • Effective at improving team performance through accountability and clear goals

  • Passionate about helping local government get better digital tools — ethically and affordably

  • Proven ability to prioritize high-value prospects and close at scale

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a full pipeline of local government and public agency prospects

  • Coach and support SDRs in qualifying strong leads for your pipeline

  • Conduct Zoom-based demos, discovery calls, and proposal walk-throughs

  • Work with leadership to refine pricing, offers, and sales strategies

  • Manage and track deal activity in our CRM (HubSpot or similar)

  • Collaborate with our Client Success and Project teams to ensure smooth handoffs

  • Contribute to building an ethical, no-pressure sales culture focused on real results

You Have Demonstrated

  • 3+ years of sales leadership or sales management experience

  • 6–8+ years total in B2B, govtech, SaaS, or web service sales

  • Experience closing $5K–$45K+ contracts with public agencies

  • A client-first, consultative sales style that builds trust with government buyers

  • The ability to sell independently and lead a team of SDRs or partner sellers

  • Clear, professional communication skills (verbal, written, proposal-level)

  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, PandaDoc, Google Workspace, etc.

  • Understanding of procurement, compliance, or ADA/accessibility is a plus

  • Past work with CivicPlus, Granicus, Revize, Municode, etc., is a bonus

Compensation & Benefits

This is a 100% commission-based, 1099 contractor position with no cap on earnings. We believe in generous, transparent commissions that reward long-term value and leadership.

Upfront Commission — 20–30% of Initial Contract Value

  • $2,000–$3,000+ on a $10,000 project

  • Paid once the client payment is received

  • Tiered incentives for consistent closers

Monthly Recurring Revenue — 15–25% of Subscription Plans

  • Ongoing commission from the client’s monthly support/maintenance plan

  • E.g., $600/month plan = $90–$150/month per client

  • Paid monthly, for the lifetime of the account
